glTF Exporter for Maya
Export Maya scenes to glTF 2.0 / GLB with production-oriented controls for materials, textures, compression, animation, and extensions.
The export features are part of the glTF Importer and Exporter for Maya package and appear in Maya as glTF2.0 Export.

Mesh
Export tangents, quad topology metadata, and gaussian splat content.

Output
Choose glb or glTF, resource layout, texture conversion format, and quality.

KTX2 Compression
Quality preset, ETC1S / UASTC / ASTC 4x4, supercompression, and mipmaps.

Extensions
Mesh quantization and Draco compression with per-attribute quantization sliders.

Animation
Scene Keys, Sampled, or Time Editor Clips. Recommended for web / real-time: Time Editor Clips + Bake Animation Keyframes On.

Asset copyright field and a reset-to-defaults action.
Key Features¶
- Export glb and glTF from Maya's native export dialogs
- Export all or selected scene content
- Convert textures to WebP, JPEG, or KTX2, or keep original texture files
- Enable Draco mesh compression and KHR_mesh_quantization
- Export Time Editor clips directly (recommended with Bake Animation Keyframes On for web and real-time viewers)
- Preserve quad topology metadata for Maya-oriented round trips
- Export material variants and optional gaussian splat content when available
- Review results in the Export Log (also available from glTF2.0 > Last Export Log)
